If you enjoy exploring the natural outdoors, we invite you to participate in the City’s free nature walks this summer! On the second Monday of each month, May through October, the City of Kenmore’s volunteer leader Linda Phillips is offering guided tours of Wallace Swamp Creek Park, with the first tour starting Monday, April 9.

The nature walk will be approximately one-and-a-half to two hours and will explore two miles of paved and primitive trails through the 25 acres of the park. Leader Linda Phillips will focus on the plants and animals found in the park.

Learn about the legend of dragon boating and the Eye Dotting ceremony. The Seattle Flying Dragon Boat Club invites you to participate in a tradition held for centuries in awakening the dragon to open paddling season and bless the boats and paddlers. Participate in a dragon boat practice at 10:00 a.m.

Come participate in the annual "Beautify Kenmore" event taking place Friday, April 20, through Sunday, April 22! This event takes place across Kenmore and is organized by YOU! Perhaps you and your neighbors want to get together and beautify your street. Or you simply want to make your driveway look the best on the block. Gather your soil, flowers, gardening gloves, shovels, friends and family and head outside that weekend and help beautify Kenmore.

The first project of the voter-approved Walkways and Waterways Initiative is complete! Join us at the ribbon-cutting for the new boardwalk connecting Rhododendron Park to the waterfront and Kenmore Boat Launch, 17150 68th Avenue NE, and the new float, improving water accessibility for hand-powered watercraft users. City staff and Councilmembers will be participating in the ribbon-cutting which will also be commemorating the start of the boating season.

The City of Kenmore, 192 Brewing, and Bothell Ski and Bike are presenting the Kenmore Bike Everywhere Day celebration on Friday, May 18 at 192 Brewery, 7234 NE 175th St. from 4:00—7:00 p.m. for a fun event geared toward bicyclists of all levels! This free family-friendly event and will feature live music, a bike repair station, a demo bus bike rack, snacks, giveaways, and resources. Located directly on the Burke Gilman trail, bicyclists can easily stop by 192 Brewery for a fun and casual Friday afternoon gathering to mingle with fellow bike commuters.

On Saturday, May 19, join the public and City staff and Councilmembers at the ribbon-cutting for the new floating dock at Squire's Landing Park. This event will coincide with the Kenmore Waterfront Activities Fair hosted by the Kenmore Waterfront Activities Center (KWAC).
