The City of Kenmore invites you to attend an open house on March 22, 2018, to meet the project teams and view preliminary design work completed to date for the Log Boom Park Waterfront Access and Viewing and Squire's Landing Park Waterfront & Natural Open Space Access Projects.

Join the Adopt A Stream Foundation and Sno-King Watershed Council on Saturday, March 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to restore habitat along Swamp Creek and the Sammamish River! Volunteers will learn about restoration, salmon habitat and plant live stakes and trees in the stream banks. 
Volunteers will gather at the Kenmore Waterfront Activities Center, 7353 NE 175th Street, Kenmore. Parking is available along NE 175th Street. 
Tools, gloves and light refreshments are provided. The event is 'rain or shine' so bring muck boots and rain gear. 

Thu, 04/05/2018 - 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Meet local business people and hear about what's happening throughout Kenmore. Refreshments will be provided.

This is a free event. No RSVP required. All are welcome.

On Saturday, April 7, Seattle Outboard Association will be hosting the fifth annual Kenmore Hydroplane Cup at the Kenmore Boat Launch Ramp (underneath 68th Ave NE) at 10:00 a.m. The kick-off event will take place the day before, Friday, April 6, at 192 Brewing Company, The Lake Trail Taproom at 6:00 p.m. The opening ceremonies will take place at 10:00 a.m. whereas the exhibition races will take place between noon and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 7.

Repeats every month on April, May, June, July, August, September, October on the second Monday until Mon Oct 08 2018 .

If you enjoy exploring the natural outdoors, we invite you to participate in the City’s free nature walks this summer! On the second Monday of each month, May through October, the City of Kenmore’s volunteer leader Linda Phillips is offering guided tours of Wallace Swamp Creek Park, with the first tour starting Monday, April 9.

The nature walk will be approximately one-and-a-half to two hours and will explore two miles of paved and primitive trails through the 25 acres of the park. Leader Linda Phillips will focus on the plants and animals found in the park.

Learn about the legend of dragon boating and the Eye Dotting ceremony. The Seattle Flying Dragon Boat Club invites you to participate in a tradition held for centuries in awakening the dragon to open paddling season and bless the boats and paddlers. Participate in a dragon boat practice at 10:00 a.m.

Come participate in the annual "Beautify Kenmore" event taking place Friday, April 20, through Sunday, April 22! This event takes place across Kenmore and is organized by YOU! Perhaps you and your neighbors want to get together and beautify your street. Or you simply want to make your driveway look the best on the block. Gather your soil, flowers, gardening gloves, shovels, friends and family and head outside that weekend and help beautify Kenmore.

The first project of the voter-approved Walkways and Waterways Initiative is complete! Join us at the ribbon-cutting for the new boardwalk connecting Rhododendron Park to the waterfront and Kenmore Boat Launch, 17150 68th Avenue NE, and the new float, improving water accessibility for hand-powered watercraft users. City staff and Councilmembers will be participating in the ribbon-cutting which will also be commemorating the start of the boating season.
