Come celebrate the renovations of Moorlands Park with musical performances by the youth of the First Romanian Pentecostal Church.
The park project included new ballfield renovations (booking in 2019), new restrooms (will be open soon!), new picnic shelter, perimeter path and play area upgrade.
Parking is available at the church, 8315 NE 155th Street.

Come participate in Skandia’s authentic rendition of the summer solstice festival on Sunday, June 24 from 11am to 6pm. This day-long traditional Scandinavian celebration features music and dance performances, kids' activities, including raising a kid-sized pole, flower crowns making, craft and food booths, a special costume presentation, participatory dancing, mini-dance lessons for beginners, and of course, the traditional pole raising ceremony.

Watch the night sky light up and have a fun-filled Fourth of July! The Kenmore Fireworks Show presented by Frank Lumber blasts off at 10:00 p.m. from the Log Boom Park pier. Prior to the fireworks show, join in the festivities with fun activities and food vendors starting at 7:30 p.m. The event is free and all you need to bring is a blanket or chair! 

As a reminder, personal fireworks are prohibited in Kenmore city limits.  Check kenmorewa.gov/events for more info.

If you enjoy exploring the natural outdoors, we invite you to participate in the City’s free nature walks this summer! On the second Monday of each month, May through October, the City of Kenmore’s volunteer leader Linda Phillips is offering guided tours of Wallace Swamp Creek Park, with the first tour starting Monday, April 9.

The nature walk will be approximately one-and-a-half to two hours and will explore two miles of paved and primitive trails through the 25 acres of the park. Leader Linda Phillips will focus on the plants and animals found in the park.

The Saint Edward Environmental Learning Center Wild Wednesday in the Park was launched in 2008 and each summer since then, children and families have come to Saint Edward State Park each Wednesday in July and August to explore many natural wonders such as owls, trees, clouds, and bats. All classes are at St Edward State Park, meet at the kiosk west of the park office. More info at www.seelc.org
