Public Hearing on Comprehensive Plan and Municipal Code Amendments related to Critical Areas Protection and the Shoreline Master Program

The City of Kenmore Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the amendments related to protection of critical areas (streams, wetlands, geologically hazardous areas, flood hazard areas, etc.) and standards for development on the shorelines of Lake Washington, the Sammamish River and Swamp Creek.  The public hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, 7:00 p.m., at Kenmore City Hall, Council Chambers, 18120 68th Ave NE, Kenmore.

The amendments align the City's rating systems for wetlands and streams to those used by the State, prohibit development in high landslide hazard areas, and revise shoreline buffers along the Sammamish River and Swamp Creek.

Additional information is available on the City's website,, or at City Hall.  Citizens attending the hearing have the right and are invited to express their views by oral and/or written comments concerning the proposal.
