Volunteer Programs

The City values our many volunteers who offer their time and their talents to help make Kenmore a better place to live, work, and visit. Volunteers are essential to the City’s ability to provide quality services to Kenmore residents and visitors. Volunteers are active in most areas of city services.

Volunteering is fun and provides an opportunity to learn about City operations, gain skills for future employment and to connect with local community leaders, businesses, and citizens. Whether you have a few hours a year or a few hours a week, we have the volunteer opportunity to help you get connected with your community!

Please review the volunteer opportunities listed below. You can search out volunteer opportunities by what you are interested in doing (categories) or by availability (event calendar). If you are interested in volunteering, fill out the volunteer intake form  and contact the City’s Volunteer and Events Coordinator.

Many schools, churches, and clubs require or strongly encourage youth to complete volunteer hours. The City has volunteer opportunities that can often meet these volunteer requirements if adequate planning time is provided. If hours are needed quickly, we suggest students review the Kenmore Connections opportunities link to explore other options within the community.

Many caring individuals, non-profit organizations, groups, and businesses make a difference in our local community by their employees volunteering or by sponsoring an event or program, such as the Volunteer Program. If you would like to learn more about how to sponsor a special event or a program, please click the more information link below.

The City promotes civic responsibility and volunteerism. If the City does not have a volunteer opportunity that meets your needs or availability, please consider connecting with other local agencies.
